With a commitment to authenticity and quality, Cafe Colombo has positioned itself as a go-to destination for both locals and visitors alike seeking the bold flavors of Sri Lankan cuisine.
The standout dish that has garnered rave reviews is the lamprais, a traditional Sri Lankan meal that diners are declaring as the best outside of the island nation itself. Crafted by the talented Chef Angelo, this dish showcases a perfect marriage of spices and textures that will leave your taste buds dancing. Other favorites on the menu include the combo platter, which boasts an exciting variety of meats, from tender lamb shank to juicy chicken and crispy calamari, alongside sweet appam to tantalize one’s palate. Patron Siew Chai Phua highlights how the combination of flavors exceeded expectations, proving that every dish is crafted not just to satisfy hunger, but to wow the senses.
For those looking to indulge their cravings with something sweet, the mango lassi has made many guests swoon, described by Father Andrew Kooi as “slobberingly mouthwatering.” This delightful drink not only washes down the spicy dishes beautifully but leaves behind a lingering sweetness that complements the vibrant flavors of Sri Lankan cuisine.

The best Sri Lankan restaurant in Kuala Lumpur. Their lamprais (pronounced "lamprai") is awesome; and you'll be hard pressed to find a better lamprais outside Sri Lanka and maybe even in Sri Lanka. Chef Angelo has done a great job with the entire menu. Been here many times and will keep going back.

Had a truly delightful dining experience! The food was absolutely delicious—flavourful, beautifully presented, and clearly made with care. But what truly made the visit special was the service. Janice and Nahid were incredibly attentive and friendly throughout the meal. They made us feel so welcomed and well taken care of, always checking in with a smile and anticipating what we needed before we even had to ask. Thank you both for making our visit so enjoyable—we’ll definitely be back!

Those of you who are familiar with Sandaru Sathsara may know that he is a famous singer from Sri Lanka. Though we may not be able to see him in person, we can still savour cuisine from Sri Lanka at Cafe Colombo. This Sri Lanka restaurant serves Yummylicious shockalingam slurpylicious Sri Lanka cuisine which would make you mouth salivate like it has never salivated before. Try the chicken curry with briyani rice. They even have slobberingly mouth watering mango lassi to wash it down.

Thank you Janice for the wonderful service. Helping us order a mix of food for 4. Decent portion, food was according to our taste. Atmosphere was pretty chill. We’re the only ones here during a weekday.

A taste of Sri Lanka, familiar to the tastebuds, same vibe with indian cuisine first time to try a dish served in clay pot, with the top wrapped in something like a dough in a pie the presentation alone is a definite win! Kudos to Janice for the great service! She made sure we enjoyed the food and assist us with all our needs keep up the good work! Will definitely come back to try other dishes!

Came here with my family (4 adults and 1 kid) and they initially gave us a table for 4, which felt a bit tight but shoutout to the waiter who moved us to a bigger one so we could eat comfortably. We sat outside and surprisingly, it wasn’t too hot. Tried the sweet appam and it was alright, but I’ve definitely had better. Might’ve set my expectations too high. The fish cutlet had strong masala vibes, maybe too strong that we could barely taste the fish, but hey, we still cleaned the plate. Now for the mains: we had the Café Colombo Tiffin with mutton. Portion’s generous, easily feeds two. But the real MVP? The Thali set with spicy tempered chicken and mutton varuval. So flavourful and satisfying. Plus it came with a drink and we picked the Bru coffee… so, so, so good. I swear I can still taste it. Also, special love for their mango chutney, whatalappan and tempered yellow rice, both were perfect little touches. Would totally come back to try the rest of the menu.
